What Does the Fitted Price Actually Include?
You've seen €450 to replace an electric shower, so what are you actually paying for? That's the supplied-and-fitted price for a new Triton T90ER or Mira Elite SE. It's the supply and fit of a new electric shower in place of an old or broken one. The price is for a like-for-like swap of shower, hose, head and pole.
Like-for-like is the phrase that matters. It means the new shower goes where the old one was, on the supply and the cable that are already there. Below: which model replaces yours, the full price list, what the price leaves out, and what to have ready when you call.
Which New Shower Replaces the One You Have
If you have a Triton T90, T90i, T90si, T90XR, T90Z or T90SR, the replacement is a Triton T90ER. The Triton T90ER is €450 supplied and fitted, in place of any Triton T90 model. Its usual price is €495.
If you have a Mira Elite, Elite 2, Elite ST or Elite QT, the replacement is a Mira Elite SE. The Mira Elite SE is also €450 supplied and fitted. The Triton T90ER and the Mira Elite SE are silent pumped showers. Dual head and rain head options are available. With a dual and rain head, the Triton T90ER or Mira Elite SE is €600 supplied and fitted. A rain head gives a wide, soft spray from overhead, alongside the handset on the pole.
Not sure which you have? The make and model are shown on the front of the shower. Give that name before the visit, so the correct part or unit can be brought along. There's more on the electric shower replacement page.
The Published Prices, Model by Model
These are the published supply-and-fit prices.
- Triton T90ER electric shower: €450 supplied and fitted, in place of any Triton T90 model.
- Mira Elite SE electric shower: €450 supplied and fitted, in place of a Mira Elite, Elite 2, Elite ST or Elite QT.
- Triton T900PSR electric shower: €495 supplied and fitted.
- Triton T90ER or Mira Elite SE with dual and rain head: €600 supplied and fitted.
- Mira 88 repair and replacement of all internal parts and the face plate: €430 supplied and fitted.
- Triton Novel SR power shower: €460 supplied and fitted.
- Aqualisa Aquastream power shower: from €1,250 supplied and fitted.
Supplied and fitted means the shower itself is in the price, not only the labour. The Triton Novel SR and the Aqualisa Aquastream are power showers, covered on the power shower repair and replacement page. A Triton AS2000XT or Aqua Sensation is replaced with a Triton Novel SR. A power shower mixes hot water from the cylinder with cold and boosts it with a pump, while an electric shower heats its own water as it runs.
What the Price Does Not Cover
The price does not cover changes or repairs to the existing electrics or plumbing. That includes:
- A faulty RCBO or isolation switch.
- A blocked pipe.
- A seized isolation valve.
An RCBO is the safety switch in your fuse board that cuts the power to a circuit when it detects a fault. The isolation switch is the pull-cord or wall switch that turns the shower's power off. An isolation valve shuts off the water to the shower, and an old valve can seize so it won't turn. A blocked pipe can starve a shower of water, and a new unit on the same pipe would run just as badly as the old one. So a fault in the supply is worth finding before the new shower goes on. None of these is part of the shower, which is why they sit outside a price for swapping the shower.
Dublin Shower Repair does not accept responsibility for the original installation. So if your shower keeps tripping the power, or the valve won't turn, say so when you call. It's better to know before the visit than to find out on the day.

Repair or Replace?
Not every broken shower needs a new one. The simplest electric shower repair, with the part, is about €100. Repairs use genuine Triton, Mira and Aqualisa parts.
On a shower 10 years old or more, Barry advises a replacement, not a costly repair. If parts keep failing on an old unit, the money is better spent on a new shower. Before you book a visit, Barry gives free help by phone to check for an airlock, a blocked head, hose or filter. An airlock or a blocked shower head can be something you clear yourself. Why the Prices Are on This Website
Of 62 enquiry calls to Dublin Shower Repair, 68% came from this website. Supply-and-fit prices are shown on each shower model page.
Whether the price covers everything is a concern customers raise, and the clearly stated exclusions address it. A price you can read before you ring is easier to trust than a price you only hear on the phone. Check the price for your model first, then ring with the make and model to hand. A Google review puts it simply: "Then charges the agreed price."
What to Tell Barry When You Call
Start with the make and model of the shower, shown on its front. Having it ready saves a return visit for the wrong part. You talk through what needs doing on the call. Then you text your address and Eircode, and Barry writes the job in his diary.
Appointments are in the morning. A like-for-like swap of shower, hose, head and pole is completed same or next day at a fixed price. If the power trips or a valve is stuck, mention it on the same call. Another Google review sums up the booking: "Job sorted Tuesday morning."

After the New Shower Is In
Barry puts a sticker with his phone number on every shower he fits. If it ever needs a look again, the number is on the shower. Past customers ring the number on the sticker on their shower, and estate agents send repeat work. He texts every customer a link to leave a Google review on the day of the job.
Barry was trained by Triton at Triton's UK head office and by Aqualisa at Aqualisa's UK head office. He does not do full shower installations where no shower was fitted before, or bathroom refits. Got an old Triton or Mira that's had its day? Call Barry with the make and model to hand.
